Bill, I recently went back in time when I re-visited "Sawtooth" and just knew you were there. Lots to be said Bill. You really saved my bacon with some advice you gave me once.
Lots of fond memories!
Rest in peace!

I remember asking Bill why he volunteered for a second tour in Vietnam and he said, "Because somebody had to."
I also remember the tree house, his amazing artistic ability, and especially the gun show where he helped us to get the best deal we could get on that Beretta 92sb (and then we went back to Bill's house and he threw a couple of ear-muffs at us and he test-fired the gun in his garage!)
Also he told us that awesome story about the UFO which I believe and re-tell to this day.
He always told me, "Hey Ed, try to be in a better mood next time, ok?"
RIP Bill, there has never been, and will never be anyone else like you. I hope you didn't have to suffer and I'll say a prayer for your soul.

I too am shocked and saddened at the news of Bill's passing. Bill was a great friend and served our country valiantly. I met him at the gym in the mid 1980's but lost track of him about 10 years ago. If anyone can give me anymore information, I will appreciate it.
Rest in peace brother.

Prayers and thoughts are with you all in this time of sorrow. His warm smile will always be remembered.
I was shocked and saddened to read Bill's obituary today. I did not know that Bill had passed. Bill and I were extremely close friends in the 80's and 90's. We met at the gym in S.B. and became close friends. He was like a brother to me. We went our separate ways in the early 2000's and I hadn't seen him since. For the past few years I had been attempting to locate him to reconnect but I couldn't find him. I didn't know that he had moved to Yucca Valley.
Bill was one of a kind. Very rough on the outside but very kind on the inside. He was one of the most generous people I have ever met. He would give somebody his last penny.
Bill loved his guns and loved his barbecue. He was a great cook.
I would appreciate it if someone would please tell me why Bill passed and when the service will be. Thanks
R.I.P. Bill. Love you brother....
