WILLIAM E. LEONARD's Obituary
William E. “Bill” Leonard, 85, passed away June 5, 2008 at St. Bernardine Medical Center. Bill was born in San Bernardino, was a real estate developer in Leonard Reality & Building Company, Chairman of California Transportation Commission and Consultant for Inland Valley Development Agency, for the redevelopment of the former Norton Air Force Base. He was the recipient in 2007 of the Doctorate of Human Letters from the College of Business and Public Administration from California State University San Bernardino. Bill was the former president of Board of Governors of the National Orange Show, founding member Inland Action and veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Bobbie, children: William R. Leonard, Christene Leonard, Frederick W. Leonard, Eight grandchildren: Timothy Gergen, Michael Leonard, Jacob Leonard, Stephanie Ploeger, Liza Wilson, Valerie Carr, Jennifer Drake and Garrett Leonard. Seven great grandchildren: Jackson Wilson, Katherine Gergen, Grace Wilson, Sophia Drake, Grant Carr, Gavin Leonard and Joshua Ploeger.
A memorial Service will be held Thursday June 12, 2008 at 4:00PM at First Presbyterian Church, 1900 N. “D” St. San Bernardino, CA 92405.
