WILLIAM "BILL" DEWITT TOWNLEY's Obituary
William “Bill” Townley, 75, a resident of San Bernardino for 40 years, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2007. A man with a strong work ethic, Bill worked most of his life in law enforcement. He was a security policeman with the Air Force for 20 years, a railroad policeman for Santa Fe for 18 years and a forensic specialist for the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department for 10 years. Survivors include: his wife of 51 years, Sigrid; a son, Bryant Townley, and his wife, Jeri of Highland; a daughter, Brigitte, and her husband, Rick of Highland; and four grandchildren. Viewing will be held Thursday, September 6, 2007, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel. Graveside services, with full Air Force honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard.
