Our Memories of “TJ”
"TJ" – our sister Pat's youngest of three sons – was our "Ausie Nephew." Born in Australia -- or "Down Under" – TJ was over a year old before we three uncles got to meet him.
We remember him as a sweet youngster and later as a daring skateboarder, a motorcyclist, and later still, as a skilled auto-mechanic. We all benefitted
from his wisdom, experience and advice proffered – usually over the phone – on how to keep our aging vehicles on the road for a few more miles.
There's one final observation about TJ that's important at a time such as this. It's reflected in Proverbs 14:21 "...blessed is he who is kind to the needy;" and 14:31 "...whoever is kind to the needy honors God."
TJ did just that. Every time he encountered a homeless individual on the street he would stop, reach into his clothing and give the needy person whatever he had in his pocket. And each time he accompanied his mom – our sister, Pat – to Mary’s Table, he would spend hours preparing and serving food, handing out clean clothing and cleaning-up for those who needed help.
That’s why all three of us are sending donations to Mary’s Mercy Center in TJ’s memory. We hope you will do so as well.
Dominus vobiscum, Tim, Jack & Oliver, aka, “The North Boys”
