Mrs Shirlene Waitschies' Obituary
Shirlene (Preston) Waitschies, 73, passed away on July 24, 2014 in San Bernardino, CA. Shirlene was born and raised in San Bernardino and graduated from Pacific High School in 1958. She met Richard Waitschies in 1956 at just 16 (on a blind date) they were married two years later. They raised their family and when her children were older Shirlene went to work as a Special Needs Tutor, which she did for over twenty years. She retired with Richard in 1998.
She loved to visit Disneyland, take her grandchildren on vacation and spend time at the ranch in Utah.
Shirlene was preceded in death by her infant daughter Leslie Ann.
She is survived by her husband Richard and her children Diana Waitschies, Richard (Debby) Waitschies, Michael Waitschies and Laura (Andy) Wilcox. Also surviving her is her sister Joyce (Fred) Dimmitt, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
