Russ tried to teach me to drive a stick shift on his old pickup truck. The biggest problem was it didn’t have a gas pedal, only a rod sticking up about 1 1/2 inches out of the floorboard. From my house up to the Whitehorse circle I got stuck at a red light, on an incline, and could go no further. The folks behind us weren’t happy so we had to jump out and switch places. Good times, good times!
