Roderick Howard Van Horn Jr.'s Obituary
Rod Van Horn, Jr. Beloved and cherished son; beloved and cherished brother, passed from this life to the next on July 27, 2014.
Rod was born and raised in San Bernardino, CA. Rod was a 4th generation Californian and lived in the area all of his life. He was very involved in track, baseball and other sports, and was an Explorer Scout. He graduated from Pacific High School and San Bernardino Valley College. Rod loved wide outdoor spaces and quiet summer nights. He loved all music and was an avid student of History and Archaeology.
Rod leaves behind in the wake of his love his parents Roderick H. and Marjorie E. Van Horn and his sister Lynnette. He also leaves his step-children Kelly Chaires and Scott Martin and their families, and his best friend Eddie Hernandez.
He will be returned to the earth when it’s time. Rod was 64 years old.
