RODERIC JOSEPH MOERS's Obituary
Roderic J. Moers died Oct 7, 2008 at home in San Bernardino at the age of 67. Born in New Jersey, he attended Lyndhurst schools and later graduated from St. Bonaventure Univ., Univ. of San Francisco, and California Coast Univ. He was a resident of San Bernardino for 33 years.
Rod served as Child Welfare Supervisor/Manager for the County of San Bernardino for over 25 years. He was a member of the California Assoc. of Marriage and Family Therapists. After his retirement, he served as Grand Juror for San Bernardino County from 2006-2007. He was elected President to the Board of Retirees for San Bernardino County. Throughout his life, Roderic received numerous recognitions for his community service.
Rod is survived by his brother John R. Moers and wife, Janice of Clifton, New Jersey, nephews John J. Moers and wife Dita of Lyndhurst, NJ and Prague CZ, Michael Moers and wife Helen of Kent, UK, Darrin Moers and wife Laurie of West Milford, NJ; niece Jennifer Moers of Brooklyn, NY and three great nieces Julia, Sofia and Madison. He had many dear friends who will sadly miss his wisdom, sense of humor, and caring ways.
A memorial service to honor Rod’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday October 17th at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404
