Roberta Shouse's Obituary
69, died on July 4th of respiratory failure while sleeping.
A lifetime resident of San Bernardino, Roberta received her AA degree in sociology from Valley College in 1964.
Roberta founded the county’s legal aid clinic in 1975. For 35 years, she administered the clinic, providing free or low-cost legal services to poor families.
Roberta also served on the San Bernardino County and California Commissions on the Status of Women, chaired the county Civil Service Commission, and was involved in many charities, public services, and hosted a weekly public access TV program entitled legal issues.
She is survived by her son Neil, 41; and sisters Linda, Laurie and Barbara. She will be dearly missed by family, friends, colleagues and our community.
