Robert Paul Hughes, 89, passed away after a short illness, in Loma Linda, CA. Originally from Miami FL, Bob served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII. After being discharged he worked as a civilian at The Presidio for Read Obituary
We are so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. My mother Julia Rilla Hughes Gould was his first cousin. She has fond memories of Robert when they were young. Last year we were able to link up with him for an extended phone call and catch up on the past few years. I am so thankful Robert and my mother were able to have this time to reminisce.
I wish I could have met him in person. I have heard so many wonderful things about him from my mother.
Our sincere condolences and prayers to his family. His North Carolina family have not forgotten him.
