Mr. Richard Alfred Flamish's Obituary
Maj. Richard Alfred Flamish, USAF Retired, was born on September 20, 1942, in Allentown, PA. He passed away December 11, 2014, in San Bernardino, CA. He is a graduate of Lewis E Dieruff HS in Allentown. Richard earned a BA in Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University, a MA in business management from Webster College, and a teaching credential from CA State, SB. He served 28 years in the Air Force and taught for 11 years in San Bernardino County Schools. He was a member of Del Rosa United ME Church, Methodist Men, Military Officers Association of America, and past president of the Carriage Club (SB Civic Light Opera), and a past president of Shipmates Fellowship Group.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Beatrice Burger Flamish, his sister Thelma Smith, and brothers-in law, Fritz Smith and Jack Seem.
Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bettye Brown Flamish of Highland, and sister Carolyn Seem of Allentown, two nieces Patricia (Gary) Marsteller, GA, Kathleen (Glen) Michael, and nephew Charles (Allison) Smith, PA.
Service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, January 8 , 2015 at 11:30 am at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA, Staging Area 3.
