Patrick Harry English's Obituary
Patrick Harry English was born September 29th, 1942 to Nadine Barbara Fritsche and Hiram "Bud" Clark English at St. Bernadine's Medical Center in San Bernardino, CA.
He attended San Bernardino High, after which he proudly served his country in Vietnam with the US Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1964. After he was discharged, he was hired on at the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department in 1966, where he served a long and dedicated career as a Deputy Sheriff, eventually retiring at the rank of lieutenant in 1993.
He opened and ran two sandwich shops in Redlands and Yucaipa (State Street Sandwich and Boulevard Sandwich, respectively) before returning to his passion of law enforcement in 1997, in the security and law enforcement division with the California State Lottery. At the Lottery, he also rose to the rank of lieutenant as a supervisory agent for the Southern California law enforcement division, which he continued until his passing on May 7, 2014.
Pat is survived by his wife Janice, sons Sean and Ryan, and daughters Nicole and Erin.
The family encourages donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, which Pat avidly supported.
