Dear Lola & others of the Klan
McGowan:
I wanted to explain to all why I did not get up & speak at
Owens Memorial. I knew that I would breakdown, & no one wants to see a grown man cry.
Owen & Lola have been our very close friends for over 60 years. The many trips, dinners out,& good times together will never be forgotten.
Owen was a loving & devoted husband to Lola. A wonderful father, grandfather, & great grandfather. A truly fine person, & one we were privlaged to call our friend.
At our ages we have very little future to look forward to, but we do have those very wonderful memories to look back on.

On behalf of my mom, Mary Ann Davidson, and me, I sent our deepest condolences to Lola, Richard and Linda and all your family for your loss. We remember many good times with Owen and the McGowan family in our years as next-door neighbors. Last year, while taking a nostalgic bike ride through the neighborhood, I saw Owen while he was out walking and he invited me in to visit with him and Lola.
