Opie Clarence Ter Meer, 83 of Rialto, CA, passed away with his family by his side on February 18, 2011. He was born on April 30, 1927 in Canby, MN. He retired from the Rialto Unified School District as a Principal.
Opie was dedicated to his church Rialto United Methodist Church. He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandpa. Opie loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Opie was preceded in death by his parents William and Maggie Ter Meer, son Jim Ter Meer, sisters Bertha Roos, Kathleen Ter Meer.
He is survived by his wife Janet, daughters Linda Amori(David), Karen Acton (Tren),Son David (Elisa), 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Elisa, Jeffrey, David, Sarah. 6 great grandchildren, Zackery, Jessica, Dominic, Savannah, James, Davey. Sisters Mable VanDenTop(John),Hermina Kooima Brother Walter Ter Meer.
Visitation will be Wednesday February 23, 2011 from 5:00 pm- 7:00pm at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA. Funeral Service will be Thursday February 24, 2011 at 11:00 am at Rialto United Methodist Church, 1230 N. Lilac Ave., Rialto, CA 92376. Graveside to follow at Rialto Cemetery.
