I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My brother was also a student and Mr. Ter Meer treated him with fairness and understanding that eventually led him to be a teacher himself. My brother passed away in 2005 from melanoma. I always wanted Mr. Ter Meer to know how much he meant to my brother and me. To let him know how we succeeded in our lives in work and family and a great deal of it was due to him. What a loss for us all. I continue to keep you and the family in thoughts and prayers. Opie was very special and I am so glad I had the chance to work with him when he came back to Myers to work. The kids loved his "map painting on the playground". He was such a great person and quiet natured. May God bless you at this time.
