Maurice Robert "Bob" Peters' Obituary
Maurice Robert "Bob" Peters was born in San Bernardino in 1925 to Morris and Mabel Peters. He had two sisters, Doris (Gabriel) and Phyllis (Blanchard). Bob graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1943, and then joined the World War II effort in the Naval officer’s V-5 flight training program. After the war, Bob entered Stanford University where in 1948 he completed a Bachelor’s degree in History. Bob also played second base on Stanford's Varsity baseball team and, later, coached the Stanford Junior Varsity baseball team.
Bob received his Juris Doctorate from University of Miami School of Law. In Miami he met his future wife, Barbara. Bob and Barbara were married in 1957, and began their life in San Bernardino. Together they had three children -- Michele, Leslie, and Maurice Robert, Jr.
Bob's primary focus was his family. His life's work was helping others. The memory of Bob’s kindness, generosity, and compassion for others will live on in the hearts and minds of those he helped and inspired, and whose lives he changed.
Bob is survived by his three children: Michele (Phil), Leslie (Ray), Bob (Jen); and four grandchildren: Philip (Melanie), Missy, Lilly and Carolyn.
Burial will be private.
