Major Mario Perez, of Moreno Valley, CA, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2017 at 1:40 p.m., in Riverside, California at the age of 90. He is survived by Gwen Perez, his wife of 27 years, and their five children, Lisa Plein, Read Obituary
I only knew you when you were 90, but I know you accomplished so very much. You served and loved our country before I was even born! And I thank you for that.

A group of us were in Tijuana for a luncheon. There was two bus loads of us, Mario and my Dad egged the bus driver on to race the other driver. We won! Afterward, Mario winked at the driver and said "Mushismos Gracias". It was a fun trip.
One time Mario got a speeding ticket and, asked the officer why he was getting a ticket when he was going with the flow of traffic. The officer told him, "it's because you were leading the pack".
Mario will always be in a special place in my heart. Santa lives forever!!!!
