Mrs Margaret Marie Kohfeldt's Obituary
Margaret ‘Marge’ M. Kohfeldt, 91, passed away at her home on February 15, 2015. Born in Long Beach CA, Marge had resided in San Bernardino since 1937. She graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1941 and then attended Valley College until the start of WWII. She was employed at March Air Force Base from 1942-43 when she transferred to Long Beach, CA where she was employed by the Air Transport Command.
Marge went on to work for the San Bernardino Housing Authority from 1945-73 and with the Office of Community Development until her retirement from the County in 1983.
After her retirement she and her husband Frank (who preceded her in death) took many cruises with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, going to Laughlin and Las Vegas; she was an avid bridge player, belonging to several bridge clubs. Her greatest joy however, was being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her brother Harry McIntyre.
She is survived by her sons George (Janet) Carlson of CO and John Kohfeldt of San Bernardino. Also surviving her are her three grandchildren Mark (Jennifer) Carlson of CO, Sharon (Rick) Moody of TX and Danielle (Jason Harris) Kohfeldt of MASS, and her great grandchildren Cameron, Colin, and Andrew.
