Joan Carrol Wilson's Obituary
Born on September 13, 1946 to Hugh and Margie Wilson in San Bernardino, CA., Joan was raised primarily by her mother and step-father, Jess Garcia, as her father died at an early age. Her mother also passed away while she was only in high school. Joan resided most of her life in San Bernardino and worked for Waxie Sanitary Supply Co. for over 45 years, with many of those years at the position of Purchasing Manager before retiring. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She was very crafty, with a passion for woodworking, sewing, crocheting, cooking and home improvement projects. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always maintained a positive outlook on life. She ultimately lost her battle with breast cancer and ascended away to heaven on March 9, 2013.
She leaves behind a son, 3 grandchildren, 2 sisters, step-father and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members, as well as, many friends that considered her family. She always put the needs of others ahead of herself and will be greatly missed!
