Mr Herbert Leslie Klopfenstein's Obituary
Herbert ‘Herb’ L. Klopfenstein, 97, passed away on March 12, 2017, in Riverside, CA. Originally from Crescent, OK, Herb had lived in the Inland Empire for over thirty years. He served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII and after his military service, Herb worked for Southern California Edison as a Line Crew Foreman, for 35 years. Prior to the passing of his wife Bernice, they loved to travel. He also enjoyed his family time, especially with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Bernice, his wife of 64 years; his infant daughter Carol Louise and his six siblings.
He is survived by his daughter, Shirley (Darrell) Larkins of Memphis, TN; his grandchildren, Brian (Lynette) Larkins, of Memphis, TN; Cara (Joe) Hoekzema of New York, NY, and his great-grandchildren Rachel (12) and Emily (10) Larkins also of Memphis, TN.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404. Herb will be laid to rest on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Pomona Cemetery, in the Garden of Peace, 502 Franklin Ave, Pomona, CA 91766.
