Mr George Thurston Finkle Jr.'s Obituary
George T. Finkle, Jr. 76, passed away on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, in San Bernardino, CA.
George was survived by his loving wife Alice of 44 years, children, Allison Finkle, James Ewell, Joseph Finkle, Melissa Hall and Vincent Finkle, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
George was a city policeman for San Bernardino for 33 years. He was also a member of the Elks for 50 years and was a Mason. George played Santa Claus for 16 years for the city of San Bernardino, Lighthouse for the Blind, Boys Home in Redlands, Loma Linda University Children’s Medical Center, V.A. Hospital in Loma Linda and fellow police officers’ private children’s parties.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA. with funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at Bobbitt’s. Interment to follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
