DOUGLAS CARROLL PARRISH's Obituary
Douglas C Parrish, 70, a thirty one year resident of San Bernardino County, passed away at home, November 13, 2008. Doug was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the USAF after 23 years of service. He served in Civil Service at Norton Air Force Base for fifteen years after his retirement. Doug was an avid golfer, pilot and flight instructor; his love for square dancing had him join and photograph several groups including the Redlands B’n B and the Calico Quails. He was a talented handyman and often helped his neighbors and friends. Even neighborhood kids brought him their bicycles for repair. Doug was a “people’s person”, a loving man, and devoted grandfather. Survivors include: his wife Michiko of 44 years, one son, two daughters, and four grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, November 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue. Private Graveside Services, with military honors, will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside.
