I want to send my love and condolences to a family that I have always loved and miss still to this day. Though I am miles away I have never forgotten the love and kindness and the fun times our family shared with each other when growing up. If you have ever read the book ‘Charley’, Debbie was Charley in my life. I was always scared to step out and do something that might get me into trouble. She talked me into toilet papering boyfriends houses, cruising Main St., asking a boy to dance, and as Kelly said, doing investigation work, (more like spying on my future husband to see who was dating.) I never laughed so hard as when I was with her. I use to tell her that she always got me into trouble, but the truth was, she never ever, in all the times we were together, asked me to do something against gospel standards. I always knew when I was with her that she was honorable and stood true and that we could have good clean fun. She was a good friend and I will truly miss her. With Love Christine Estes Hansen
PS – I have never forgotten the rules you had painted onto your refrig. Did she do the same in her own home?
