David Gale Coleman's Obituary
David Gale Coleman was born on April 22, 1941, in Loma Linda, California, and passed away on December 22, 2017, at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sue Coleman, and his daughters: Brenda Bonn (Austin), Franklin, Tennessee, and Tamara Coleman, Colton, California, and four granddaughters: Madison, Taylor, and Alexis Bonn, and Clara Coleman.
Dave graduated San Bernardino High School in 1959, received his bachelor’s from San Diego State, and received his master’s from Cal State, LA. He worked for the San Bernardino School District for 37 years, 17 of those as an elementary school principal. Dave was a member of Rotary International where he received many awards. He was very involved with the RYLA program, as well as serving as President of the San Bernardino Breakfast Club. Dave was also active in San Bernardino PD’s Citizens Patrol where he was able to fulfill his dream of working with law-enforcement.
Along with his love for education and community service, Dave had a passion for trains, the many dogs he had in his life, and most of all, his family and granddaughters.
