Mr Coleman was my 5th Grade teacher at Highland Pacific Elementary 1966-67. My Brother had him the year before. His wife was my 2nd Grade teacher at Mitchell School in San Bernardino 1963-64 when she was Mrs Pearson. Would like to contact her! Kirk D. Lyons [email protected]
Mr. Coleman was my teacher at Emerton elementary school. He called us students by our lasts names using Mr. or Mrs. Showing us respect. He got through to me somehow. It was true... he never missed a day of work . He was always there and held you accountable for your work and actions. I appreciated that and still do all these years later. I too work for the district and just learned of his passing via our district newsletter . My condolences to the family ~~~

I remember Dave when he served as AP when my mom, Delfina Bryant, was principal at Bradley Elementary. As kids, he was always so kind to all of us as we frequented the office. He was definitely kid-centered. My mom fondly remembers him as kind and competent. We need more educators like Dave.
