Darlene was the best mother-in-love a girl could ask for. From the very first day I met her, and every day after, she has been warm, friendly, accepting, and with an open heart. She welcomed me into the family not just acceptingly but excitedly. When we took her to dinner and told her of our engagement she literally squeeled with glee!
Over the past 30 years, she has been my mother, my confidant, and my friend. As a perfect mother in law, she has been there for me and our children, her grandkids, in all matters. I've so enjoyed being a part of her family and will now carryon some of her traditions.
My fondest memory is the cruise we took to Alaska together with Darlene, her son Chad, me and our daughter Jasmine. To spend such precious time with loved ones was a blessing.
Darlene's spirit is with us all. We will miss you, Mom.
