Uncle Gene was one of those rare people who was just good, all the time. He showed up, he cared, and he treated everyone with kindness and respect. He had a steady presence that made you feel comfortable just being around him. Whether he knew it or not, he set an example of what it meant to be a good person. He was my favorite uncle, not because he tried to be, but because it came naturally to him. I’ll always remember his warmth, his character, and the way he made people feel. He will be deeply missed and always remembered.
