As an exchange student from Germany, I was placed with an unfavorable family. She rescued me from there and allowed me to live with her for a while. She was an incredibly kind-hearted woman and I always think of her with love and gratitude.
Cici and I met while teaching at Cajon High School many years ago. I will always remember her as someone who was kind, loving, full of joy and compassion for her students and others. The trail she leaves behind will continue to inspire many. Adieu mon ami.

Cici was one of my best friends, I met her in February of 2009 and we just had a bond. We talked 2 or 3 times a week, if not sometimes 2 or 3 times a day! She was by far one of the most giving caring persons I have ever known. We used to do yard sales together, I always took her to lunch on her Birthday, . At the end of our conversations on the phone she would always say " Love you friend". I can hardly believe that I am not going to hear her voice again. She is sorely missed by many! She was definetly a gem!
Having never in my life studied French, I learned so much from her and enjoyed her classes. Cici really put her heart into teaching and came up with so many ways for us to learn to speak French, like the BINGO games and auctions she did. Even after retiring she wanted to teach French which is how she came to offer her services at the Highland Senior Center (lucky for us)!! And because of her thorough knowledge of France and suggestion, JoAnne and I were able to visit Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy when we took our trip in 2014. Cici and I found out that we shared a mutual interest in antiques and collectibles, and I would occasionally run into her at an estate sale. I know she will be missed terribly by her family and all the students she had over the years. She was a kind and caring person. Michele Rosewitz
