Claude S. Diggs' Obituary
Claude S. Diggs Jr.
passed away at his home in San Bernardino on December 10 from prostate cancer. He was 78.
Claude was born on July 11, 1932 in Bryan, Texas. He moved to California at a young age and graduated from Santa Barbara High School. Upon graduating from high school, Claude attended San Bernardino Valley College and joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego, California.
Claude was a motorcycle police officer for the San Bernardino Police Department until he took a medical retirement. He also owned and managed many businesses in the San Bernardino area. He later worked for George Chevrolet as a Fleet Manager in Bellflower and retired after over 20 years of service.
Claude is preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Lee Diggs; father, Claude Diggs, Sr.; daughter, Michele Diggs-Henderson and grandson, Baby Jake. He is survived by his wife Sharon Diggs of 30 years; brother, Lawrence Diggs of Los Angeles, California; son, Shelton Diggs (Michelle) of Oak Hills, California; daughters, Adrienne Diggs of Los Angeles, California; Tanya Diggs of San Diego, California; Christine Rodriquez (Johnnie) of Claremont, California and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchild.
A Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 15 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 16 at 10:00 am at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel 1299 E. Highland in San Bernardino.
