Dear Bobbi and Family,

Please know how much I enjoyed knowing and working with Chuck as a friend and professional colleague, both as large CA city superintendents and CA county superintendents in the 1970s and 1980s. Also, wife Cindy and I truly enjoyed the times we spent with you and our friend Chuck.
In my humble opinion, Chuck not only was a wonderful human being but also he was the epitome of dedication to humanity having served as a U.S. Marine, school teacher, and school administrator, having served as principal and superintendent of schools, and as an advocate for education and youth at the local, state and national levels.
Bobbi, you and Chuck will always be in our hearts, minds and prayers!

Dear Bobbie and Family

I just learned today of Chuck's passing and want to share my deepest condolences to you and your family. Working with Dr. Terrell while at Renaissance Learning was one of the most precious experiences of my life. He was a mentor, a Father figure, and a dear dear friend during our travels and work together and beyond. I have several Chuck "ism's" that I still use today when meeting with school leaders all across America. What a wonderful legacy he left. I'm a better person today in part, because of my time with Dr. Terrell. He will be missed but never forgotten. God bless you Bobbie.

Juley and I arrived home from an extensive camping trip to Wyoming to learn of Chuck's passing. We wish to express our condolences to you, Bobbi, and your family. Chuck was the best superintendent I had in my entire professional career. He allowed me to hire extremely talented educators to serve in our curriculum division, and he always supported our curriculum team in making many positive changes for the benefit
of all school districts in San Bernardino County. I appreciated his vision and commitment to the curriculum division. I feel honored to have known and worked with Chuck as a fellow professional and will always remember him as a friend, team player, a professional educator, and one of the best bosses whom I have been privileged to work with. In my opinion, my friend Chuck made a difference in serving the schools in San Bernardino County and other fellow educational leaders in the state of California.

Dear Bobbie, Jane and I send our prayers and condolences to you and your family on Chuck's passing. He enjoyed a great career of leadership in education, cared deeply about his fellow man and lived his values through his family, his church and his profession. I cherish the 15 years we served together as California County Superintendents, and his friendship over many more years as members of the Southern California City Superintendents. He was , first and last, an advocate for children...he will be deeply missed.

Dear Bobbie & Family, I'm sure everyone's lives that Chuck touched will miss him as much as I. What small relationship I had with him over 20 years, I knew he was a great person. We both respected each others opinions and we came to solutions easily and I really enjoyed our conversations, everything from his consulting to politics. May he rest in peace.
