The world lost a good man when Kirk passed on. It is worth noting all of his ex in laws that showed up at his services.
I never recall seeing Kirk without a smile on his face. I was not aware of his involvement at the veterans hospital but it doesn't surprise me. He spent 9,000 hours there volunteering his time to help his fellow man.
I know his children will miss him but they have a lot of good memories to reflect on. ##imported-begin##James Moore##imported-end##
Dear Gene and Linda,and Family,
It is with great sorrow that we heard about Kirks passing. He was a great guy and one of the nicest men we have ever known. He always had a smile on his face whenever we ran into him, and was always kind to everyone. I know he will be dearly missed.
Sincerely,
Jim and Deb##imported-begin##Jim and Deborah Gleason##imported-end##
The Kirkley's were my California family. When I relocated to Ca., I never imagined that I would be married so quickly, but God has his own plans. Fortunately he also gave me a large family to be a part of, and Baxter was such a warm, loving and caring "father". I'll never forget the times he would stop by our little apartment in San Bernardino on his way home from Bekins to visit his newest granddaughter, Amanda. He was so happy around his grandchildren, probably because he was away from home so much when his own children were young. We will all miss his sweet Texas accent, and charm. But most of all that wonderful laugh and great big smile. May we all take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with his beloved Betty. All our love Mary Ellen, Amanda and Stephen.##imported-begin##Mary Ellen (Kirkley) Downey##imported-end##
