William Herman Baughn's Obituary
William H. Baughn, 86, a resident of San Bernardino for 12 years, died Friday, November 5, 2010, at Redlands Healthcare Center,
He was born November 11, 1923, in Phoenix, Arizona. He served aboard the USS Arkansas in the South Pacific during WWII, where he earned a Purple Heart. He began his career with Bank of America as a teller and retired after 42 years of service as the Executive Vice-President of the Southern Division of Bank of America.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margie Baughn, of Highland; a daughter, M. Jean Snell of San Bernardino; a son, John C. Baughn of San Ramon; 6 grandchildren, Christa Youngblood, James Snell, John Snell, William Baughn, Amy Baughn Monasta, and Robert Baughn. He is also survived by five great-granchildren, Brandon, Trevor, Rylie, Stephanie and Timothy and one great-great grandson, Drake.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010, 4:00 p.m. ~ 5:30 p.m., followed by a Rosary 5:30 p.m., and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 10:00 a.m., both at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue.
Graveside services will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5835 W. Slauson Avenue, Culver City.
