To the Hughes Family,
I was so shocked to learn from my brother Donald that Mrs. Hughes passed away. Words really cannot express how sad I feel. My heart is filled with sympathy on the loss of Mrs. Hughes.
What I loved most about her was her strong character and generous spirit.
It seems like only yesterday my parents would take us to Mrs. Hughes and Joe's home. I loved going into her living room to admire her Hummel Collection in her tall curio cabinet. To this day when ever I see Hummel I think of her.
I do believe if there is a heaven she is there sitting in her recliner chair with Calamity in her lap, while my father and Joe are in the garage talking about planes.
I thank you for allowing us to be apart of her life as well as yours.
