Mrs Virginia R. Bartleson's Obituary
Virginia Ruth (Schutta) Bartleson passed away September 1, 2013 in her home in San Bernardino, California at the age of 90 years old.
She was born May 28, 1923 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Francis Richard and Anna Marie Schutta. She had three older brothers, all of whom are deceased.
Ruth was a homemaker and participated in many organizations: Del Rosa Methodist Church, Girl Scouts of America, Order of the Eastern Star and Jobs Daughters, Saint Bernardine Hospital Auxiliary, and San Bernardino Women’s Club, where she was President from 1981 to 1982. She worked for Curtiss-Wright Aircraft in Buffalo during WWII and at Harris’ Department Store in San Bernardino for ten years.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Joseph of San Bernardino, her daughter, Sharon Hardy (Brian) of Los Gatos, CA, her son Lloyd Bartleson (Catherine) of Beaverton, OR, her grandson Brian Hardy of San Diego, CA, her granddaughter Jennifer Howard (Michael) of Alpharetta, GA, and three great grandchildren, Olivia, Shawn, and Colin Howard, all of Alpharetta, GA.
