Viola E. Gatlin's Obituary
Viola E. Gatlin, age 89, passed away October 28, 2014 at Rose Gardens in Mentone, CA. Viola was born in Lake City, Iowa and was a resident of San Bernardino for 51 years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a Foster Parent for over 10 years. She is survived by her 5 children, Larry Gatlin (Wendy), Linda Walker (Greg), both of Highland, Patty Gatlin of Rialto, Peggy Mantzey (Ron), Cynthia Gatlin, both of San Bernardino; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley and her granddaughter, Kelly. Viewing will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and a Chapel Service will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 12:00 pm, both at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue, San Bernardino. Committal service will follow at Riverside National Cemetery.
