Thomas F. Self's Obituary
Thomas F. Self, age 79, passed away on January 24, 2018 at Valley Healthcare Center after a short illness.
A lifelong resident of the San Bernardino area Tom managed and owned San Bernardino Golf Club for many years. Although he was accomplished in many things, Tom was a voracious reader, loved the game of golf and the history of the sport, especially the history of golf in the Inland Empire. He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Florine Self and leaves behind two step-sons, Walter “Sonny” Hammond (Sandy) and Chris Hammond (Lizann), and 2 grandchildren Zach and Carly Hammond. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 12:00 noon at San Bernardino Golf Club, 1494 S. Waterman Avenue, San Bernardino, CA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tom's name to The First Tee of the Inland Empire, 215 North "D" Street, Suite 304, San Bernardino, CA 92401
