THOMAS ALVIN JONES's Obituary
Thomas Alvin Jones (Tom), 87, passed away on December 22, 2008 in Redlands, CA. Originally from Rutherford, NC, Tom had lived in the Southern California area for over 50 years. He was in retail sales for most of his working life and was a member of the Mountain View Church of Christ in San Bernardino. He is survived by Margaret his loving wife of 29 years, his daughters Donna Orman (David) from Prescott, AZ and Sandy Swaim (Randy) of Loveland, CO. Also surviving him are his 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Tom loved spending time with his family. He looked forward to every family gathering and just enjoyed being in the presence of his loving wife Margaret and the many kids and grandkids. Tom was always willing to help out a neighbor, doing simple acts of kindness. He also loved tending to his spectacular tomatoes, oranges, and roses. We will all miss his warm, caring, and loving nature and that delightful Carolina drawl. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday December 31, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, 570 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404.
