Mr Thomas A. Drost's Obituary
Thomas A. Drost, known as Tom by his family and friends, passed away December 3, 2015, at home.
Tom was born April 1, 1942, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Eleanor and Carl Drost. As a boy, he worked on his grandfather’s pig farm and his aunt and uncle’s dairy farm. He moved to California in 1963. He worked at Sunkist Orange Growers in Ontario, California as an air conditioning/refrigeration mechanic/welder, retiring in 2002.
Tom loved camping and fishing with his grandchildren. He loved playing Pogo on his computer and really enjoyed a good Euchre card game. He loved nothing better than times spent with family; he and Sandra did a lot of traveling in their younger years to visit family; those memories will never fade.
Tom is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra, of San Bernardino; a son, Danny Drost, daughter Vicki Drost, both of San Bernardino; a brother, Warren Bennett, of Durango , Iowa, three sisters Renée Walker, Carla Davis, and Laura Drost, all of northern California; six grandchildren: Stanley Zedalis, Daniel Drost, Jr., Candace Drost, Duane Drost, Jr., Amber Zedalis, and Jacob Drost; five great-grandchildren: Joshua Zedalis, Jacob Corona, Joseph Corona, Noah Drost, and Kaleb Klenke.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, Duane Drost.
Tom will be deeply missed. He will be in our hearts forever.
Until we meet again, love forever.
