Susan Kathleen Johnson's Obituary
Susan Kathleen Johnson, 45 went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2008 in San Bernardino, CA after a courageous battle with diabetes. Susan was a lifetime resident of San Bernardino. She graduated from San Gorgonio High School where she was very active and loved to play tennis. Susan attended The University of Redlands for three years where she was a member of the Delta Kappa Psi Sorority. She graduated from California State University, San Bernardino, where she earned her Bachelors Degree.
Susan was a member of Judson Baptist Church and loved to volunteer her time with both East Highland Ranch and Redlands East Valley Swim Teams. She has worked for the last 15 years as a Vice President for Home Lumber Company, but her greatest achievement will always be her two wonderful children.
Surviving Susan are her children Shane and Lindsy Sue both of Highland, CA; her parents, Milton and Dellana Johnson of Highland, CA, her Grandmother Lee McIntire of Redlands, CA; her sister Kelle Raye Vollkommer (Harold); her brother Brent Johnson (Charis) all of Highland, CA, her nephews Ryan, Michael, Daniel and Tanner and nieces Abbey and Allison all of Highland, CA. Also surviving Susan are many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A private graveside service will be held Saturday, October 4th at Mountain View Cemetery, 570 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404 at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service to honor Susan’s life and legacy at Judson Baptist Church, 1406 Pacific Street, San Bernardino, CA, 92404 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Susan’s honor to Judson Baptist Church “Kid’s Initiative” Fund at the address given above, or The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312
