I had the privilege of meeting Steve about 2 years when my Dad moved into Brightwater. Steve, my dad Phil and Dwight were all buddies! Those three were always up to something!! They loved joking around making us laugh, they kept the place lively!
Like Steve, my dad also loved a Rosa Maria’s garbage burrito with ‘no onions’ haha so once in a while I would treat the guys to burritos, they loved it. Steve was always so eager to help me with my Dad, asking if I needed anything, he truly was the sweetest man. We will truly miss him. My deepest sympathies to Gail, Kelly and family.

From all the stories that I have heard about Steven, I wish I would have had the opportunity to meet him. San Bernardino lost an amazing resident and he will most definitely be missed. Sending hugs to his equally amazing wife and family.

I was honored to have known Steve the last few years. He always had a smile and a handshake for me, and the stories he told regarding firefighting and San Bernardino are memories I'm going to carry with me the rest of my life. My heart and thoughts go out to his entire family, specifically Gail, Kelly, Mike, and Teresa. Thinking of him brings nothing but smiles and I know his legacy will live on in all who loved him. Whether it was listening to Jimmy Buffet, or enjoying Rosa Maria's garbage burritos, 'no onions', he always brightened my day and will be sorely missed.
