I just want to share a few wonderful growing up memories I had with "Steven". First, as grown ups he would say to me "it's Steve now!" ___ I would always say "to me you'll always be Steven!" Growing up my cousins were my best friends....we went camping to Deep Creek and Rosarito Beach and had our Sunday BBQ's. When we were young Steven always had that same shape tall and lean; he had that buzzed hair cut and would suck in his stomach and show us his muscles! We all shared many summer weekends at Deep Creek and our yearly September week beach trip to Rosarito. As we got older he played in the band "the ROYALISTICS ", the Sax player, and we were at many of his dances/parties___the Girls and I were not groupies "we were WITH the band!!" When we were with him he was that older brother. I wrote to him when he and Leonard were drafted and then both sent to Vietnam I remember him telling me to never stop writing when they were there because the letters were very important to them .... I never stopped. After they came home safely___the Rosarito beach trips continued for a few more years. I think often, especially when I hear the song, of that one trip when we all went (4 car loads) to the Brown Derby in Rosarito and just smile :-) we were a handful!! Those of you that were there know what am talking about "BURN BABY BURN!!!" There are alot of other memories but it would become a book. As we got older each of us followed our family branch with children, grandchildren, work and later caring for our elderly parents; there just wasn't enough time in a day month year but our love for one another is still in my heart. Chris, Danni, Kathy, Ralphie and Anthony and your families are in our prayers I know there are no words to ease your heartache at this time and pray God gives you comfort at this most difficult time!! Love you Lanchie & Gus Beaumont

Prayers for all the Martinez family during this time of loss. I enjoyed working with Steve during our employment with GTE/Verizon. Our Redlands cable maintenance crew had some good times together working under the supervision of Mike Bracy. Steve will be missed by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. Sincerely, Clay Humphries
