I first came to know Steve when another housemate, finding Steve living in his pick up in the snow of winter, invited him to stay in our house. A young man of just 28 years, Steve became not only a roommate, but a loyal friend and throughout the ensuing years I watched, with some curiousity, his life unfold, his family grow and his values develop.
