Stephen Michael Gianni's Obituary
Stephen Michael Gianni, 68 of San Bernardino, CA passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 in Loma Linda, CA after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia and daughter, Sara, both of San Bernardino. He was a brother to: Carol Waitman; Jeff, Paul and Joseph Gianni. He was a proud uncle to: Jeremy Waitman, Danielle Gianni-Tang, Kailey and Tyler Gianni. He also loved his cousins Jeff Mills, Rocco and Eleanor Gianni.
Stephen graduated from UCS Bernardino with a BA in sociology. He also earned a certificate from USC in gerontology. He enjoyed teaching special education the most. Stephen was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus 4488, Del Rosa Council.. He called bingo for many years and worked on the tootsie roll drive for special people in need. He worked on a coat drive in winter often clearing the closet commenting, “you will just get a new one next year”.
He was a Eucharistic Minister, and helped anyone in need. Stephen and family belonged to a bowling league through church. Their team’s name was Double Digits. That's because they usually didn't score any higher.
We are deeply saddened by his death but know he has been welcomed in heaven.
