Stanley Nichols' Obituary
Stanley Nichols, 79, passed away November 22, 2010 in San Bernardino, CA. He was born July 5, 1931, Chicago, Illinois and was a resident of San Bernardino 40 years. He was an Attorney for 46 years and attended Immanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy of 57 years, 3 daughters, Penelope Mann (Bill), Auburn, CA, Deborah Edwards (Robert), Auburn, CA, Cassandra Nichols (Mark Mumford) Pullman, WA, son Gregory Nichols, San Bernardino, CA, 2 sisters, Anne Weber, twin, Victorville, CA, Ruth Holmes, (Joe) Lake Havasu, AX; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Steve Nichols, sister, Kay Foley, Alice Palmieri. Granddaughter, Maia Nichols.
He was past Commander of the American Legion and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 12. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He attended Anderson College, Anderson, IN and Lincoln Law School, San Francisco CA. He will always be remembered for his patriotism, quick wit and ability to complete the New York time crossword puzzle in pen. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family and friends.
A graveside service was held November 30, 2010 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 28355 E. Baseline, Highland, CA. A reception will follow.
