We will miss you forever!
We have been friends for so long that I actually have your phone number imprinted in my memory forever. All of my more recent friends' phone numbers are stored in my phone just a touch away.
I remember all of the wonderful things we did together in our classrooms beginnig in 1982 when I returned to teaching at Barton Elementary School. I enjoyed having your students participating in my class of hearing students. My students all loved the interaction and the signing they participated in during the instruction. It was all so new to me, and it was exciting to meet your charming students and to learn how to communicate with them. It was wonderful.
I especially remember when my son met his future wife while he and she were volunteering in my classroom. Our students were completing a project together, and you had brought your lovely volunteer. She was the daughter of your teaching assistant. My son, who was also volunteering, took a liking to your volunteer and they have been married now for over eight years. You and I noticed their compatibility immediately. You have been a dear friend to us.
Love,
Jeannette, John, Brian, and April Reding
