Russell Werts' Obituary
Russell George Werts, Jr. went home to be with our Lord and Savior in Highland, CA on September 20, 2023, with his devoted wife Yolanda of 48 years by his side.
Russell was born to Russell George Werts Sr. and Virgina Rose Werts in Dayton, Ohio. Russell is the oldest of two sons. He is preceded in death by his brother Thomas Earl Werts, granddaughter Taia Werts and daughter Sommier Werts.
Russ loved his Lord and Savior Jesus and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Highland, CA.
Dad/Papa/Great Papa will be greatly missed by all his family to include his children, September Werts, Drew (Julie) Werts, Gina Yzaguirre (Joe Castro), Yvonne (Albert) Ballesteros, Amanda Earl. His adored grandchildren Tawni (Chad) Rodgers, Tyler Anderson, Kyle (Chris) Brandstetter, Haley (Cole) Lanphere, Kaityln Ballesteros, Erica Ballesteros, Kelsey (Jake) Ochoa, Braden Yzaguirre (Maddie), Elliana Castro, Brayden Castro, Felisia Earl. He also leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom had a special place in his heart.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, CA. Visitation hours will be 9am-10am with Chapel Service at 11:00 a.m. followed by 12:30 p.m. gravesite service at Mt. View Cemetery. Courtyard reception immediately following graveside service at Bobbitt Memorial Courtyard.
