ROY AQUILLA STEPHENSON's Obituary
Stephenson, Roy A. Born on November 20, 1965 in Montebello, Ca. Died May 3, 2009 at his home in Crestline, Ca. Roy is survived by his beloved parents Gloria & Richard Stephenson, his sisters Debbie (Mike) Render & Diane (Stephen) Richardson, along with his nephew & niece Stephen and Shelby Richardson. After spending the early part of his youth in Rosemead, Ca. he lived in Lancaster, Ca. and graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1983, plus he subsequently attended Antelope Valley College. He was a Licensed Painting Contractor, who ran a successful exterior home painting business in the Lake Arrowhead area. He was a member of the LDS Church, often volunteering his time to lend a helping hand to others and participated in many charitable events. He loved traveling, especially being the driver on journeys to visit with family members in Los Angeles, Iowa and Utah. He logged a significant number of driving miles to many destinations, another of his favorite destinations were National Parks (everyone considered him a professional family chauffeur - a designation he cherished). His hobbies included anything automotive, hunting, fishing and of course listing to country music. He unconditionally loved pets, was a passionate Dallas Cowboy football fan and a staunch Republican. He enjoyed the competition of board & card games, plus he was very good at the game of darts. He was friendly to all and always initiated conversations to try and brighten the day for anyone. A visitation will be held 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel (1299 E. Highland Ave) in San Bernardino, Ca. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Friday, May 8, 2009 at the LDS Church (Crestline Ward, 294 Fernwood Dr.), with interment to follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Ca. Roy Stephenson was a great son, brother, uncle and a true lifetime best friend and will be greatly missed by all.
