Roy Ives Jr.'s Obituary
Roy Otis Ives, Jr., 74, a native of Littlefield, Texas, passed away, Saturday, August 28, 2010, in San Bernardino.
Roy was a twenty-one year veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring as a Tech Sergeant in 1978. He then continued his education, earning three master’s degrees, and became a teacher at Cal State University San Bernardino and Pioneer Junior High School.
Those left to mourn his passing are his wife of 52 years, Barbara Ann; a son, Richard, of Susanville; two daughters, Victoria Lynn Hickey, of New Castle, KY and Kimberly Celeste Provence of Deatsville, AL; and eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Franklin Ives, in 1980.
A viewing will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. and a service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the University Heights Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 1475 Northpark Blvd.
A graveside service, with full military honors will be held Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside.
