Rose was the Mother of Terry and Martina, Grandmother of Amanda, Elizabeth and the late Shannon. Rose was born in Rockwood, Tennessee on February 27, 1926 to Samuel and Amanda Grasham. She was their eleventh child. She passed on Read Obituary
Rose will always be with me in my heart. In my memory I can hear her say our time together laughing and talking is priceless, and it was. I will surely miss her.
The first time Mike and I met Rose is when we were looking for a home to purchase in 1989. Rose and her 2 grand daughters were in her back yard when Rose gave us a brief history of the home. I liked her and thought she would make a wonder neighbor. Rose told us later that she had spoken to the former owner, Gordon Wall, and taliked him into selling "us" the house.
You were the BEST neighbor EVER Miss Rose. I will miss you, oh so much! Tell Jimmy we still miss him, too!

Marty and I send our love and prayers to Martina and Terry and their families. Marty has many fond memories of his Aunt Rose and I had the priviledge of meeting her and enjoying their visits to Youngstown.

I have so many memories of Aunt Rose. The earliest ones were when they came to our house on Delason to have a late night pastry. I remember Christmas parties in their basement before they moved to CA. And oh how the Connelly family loved to laugh. After they moved to CA, I made 3 trips to visit them. And then there were the trips Aunt Rose & Uncle Jim made back to Ohio. Uncle Jim always seemed to get into trouble during those visits. I often look at old family pictures and reflect on so many good times. We are planning a trip to California next summer and I was hoping to visit her and hear again her Georgia sayings. She was loved and she will be missed.
I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER ROSE AS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUNTS . I REMEMBER HER WEDDING RECEPTION AT OUR HOUSE ON DELASON WHERE THE WHOLE FAMILY LIVED FOR MANY YEARS AND THE LAST TIME WE CAME TO CALIFORNIA WHEN GARY AND I VISITED AND WENT TO MARIE CALANDERS FOR LUNCH.
