ROBIN DEWEL WILLIS's Obituary
Robin Dewel Willis After 59 years of kindness and service, Rob D. Willis has passed away from this life to rejoin his earthly father, Robert Dewel Willis and return again to his loving Heavenly Father. He was born in Covina, California, March 31, 1948, to Robert Dewel & Lois Farnsworth Willis. He married Kathryn "Kathy" Phillips, May 13, 1995, in Los Angeles Temple, in California. He leaves behind a legacy of service including two years as an officer in the United States Army, serving in Viet Nam, 24 years as an officer in the United States Air Force Reserves, reaching the rank of Lt. Colonel and 23 years as an officer of the peace for the Los Angeles Police Department, achieving officer of the year in 1988. He concluded his career with 5 years of service as a Special Agent with the Department of Justice. Rob’s greatest loves were his family, God & his country. He was happiest in the outdoors observing nature & being a part of God’s country. He enjoyed service, living his life in service of his church as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by mother, Lois, his wife, Kathy, his children, Jennifer, David, Jason, Charla, Jeremy, Robynne, Andy, Melissa, Casey, and Collin, grandchildren, Jolie, Mateo, Kendell, Dallyn, Baylle Connor, Jonah, Mason and Isabella, his siblings, Veronica, twin Robert, Rick, Valerie and Peggy. Countless family members and his beloved friend, David Pinegar. Preceded in death by his father, Robert and his nephew, Steve. Funeral services will be held in the Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. LDS Ward Chapel, 3860 N. Waterman Ave. in San Bernardino, California. Interment will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California, with full military rites.
